joan cusack AND stanley tucci AND its set in the 1930s AND features a dog, im immediately sold. besides, its just more fun when its clear that both of you had a good time watching the movie tbh. oh and i needed to comment also bc this reminded me a lot of this one movie i loved that i caught on TV, ”the journey of natty gann”, with the other cusack sibling. apparently the screenwriter also wrote a couple horsegirl movies and white fang, so theres that
