Episode 22:
This week, we revisit a somewhat controversial retelling of the classic film Barbie: Princess and the Pauper. In Barbie: Princess and the Popstar, we will go into the buck wild decisions that were made with this film and the utterly strange tangents that it takes us to. But who knows, perhaps this film will surpass the quality of the original? Perhaps? Probably not, but we'll talk about it anyway.

i really like when you discuss the context of the movies when they came out - its so interesting to think where these barbie movies came from... especially considering where animation in general and viewer nostalgia in particular were at the time. i still hope you can someday get someone who worked on the production of the barbie movies, that would be such a fascinating episode. (also god i wish i loved phantom of the opera enough to make a good barbie fanfic adaptation...)
